Scott started his career in the Biopharma industry as a specialty representative in Brooklyn NY. Scott quickly made his mark and was heavily recruited into increasing roles of responsibility. These roles ranged across numerous specialties from pediatrics to oncology, with positions from sales and key account management to field marketing.
Scott has won 9 presidents clubs and other awards including Representative of The Year at numerous organizations throughout his career. While Scott started his career at a major large pharmaceutical company, he transitioned in 2001 to the world of startups.
Scott has navigated his career at some of the largest organizations in the biopharma world including emerging start-ups, the oldest biopharma company, and VC backed startups as one of only 8 employees. Scott has launched numerous therapeutics across a multitude of specialities including pulmonary, neurology, pain, urology, and oncology leading his organizations in sales during these launches.
Scott is always willing to share his experiences and help those trying to advance themselves in their careers. With his experience in all types and size organizations, working across differing lanes of industry and areas of the business, Scott is excited to offer his thoughts for helping people with their Biotech Projects.
Seasoned Medical Affairs Leader
Dr. John Walsh is a board-certified physician with over 25 years of experience in clinical medicine practicing primary care, urgent care, and emergency medicine. Like many physicians, John expected to have a professional career performing only clinical medicine.
However, in 2008, John had the great opportunity to join the biopharmaceutical industry as a Medical Director for a leading pharmaceutical company. Since his arrival in the industry, John has spent most of his time in Medical Affairs but has also performed roles within the Clinical Development and the Program Management sides of the business. He has worked within large to start-up sized biopharma companies and has worked in a variety of therapeutic areas. He has worked in the areas of respiratory, allergy, immunology, neurology and nephrology diseases while in industry and has launched multiple products in many of these areas. Dr Walsh has also been fortunate to have been the recipient of President’s Club award distinctions and has progressed through the ranks from Medical Director to lead Medical Affairs teams as Sr. Vice President.
Dr. Walsh continues to provide patient care on a part-time basis and currently serves as a National Disaster Medical Assistance Team Medical Officer physician for the US Department of Health & Human Services and has responded to many well-known national disaster and emergencies.
